Professors Edward McCord, Henry Nau and Ronald Spector have taught, researched and held administrative positions at the school for roughly 25, 45 and 30 years, respectively. Reuben Brigety, the dean of the Elliott School, said in a press release last week that the professors “leave an enduring legacy and will be sorely missed by colleagues and students.” Read the full article.

The Carnegie Council published a transcript of an interview with GW Asian Studies Alumni, Joshua Eisenman, where he discussed his dissertation titled: Red China’s Green Revolution: Technological Innovation, Institutional Change, and Economic Development Under the Commune.

Sigur Center Non-Resident Scholar Fang-yu Chen co-authored a piece in The Diplomat titled, “What Does the 1992 Consensus Mean to Citizens in Taiwan?” According to the authors, the definitions of the Consensus employed by official sides do not reflect the public perception of cross-Strait relations.
