The application for the Uyghur Studies Summer Fellowship for 2024 is now CLOSED.
The Sigur Center seeks proposals for summer fellowships for George Washington University graduate students (M.A. or Ph.D.) conducting research on the history, culture, or arts of the Uyghur region and diaspora. These awards provide funding for travel, living, research, or tuition expenses. Preference will be given to students with a prior record of research and study on Uyghur issues. To apply, please submit a description of your proposed summer project. Applications must include a draft budget and list other summer support that the applicant has received or is currently seeking. The amount of the award will vary depending on budget and availability of funding, but we expect to provide an average of $6,000 per fellowship.
